How it works.

StabilityLogic turns consented applicant signals into an explainable, auditable housing decision. Below is the full path from applicant intake to the housing provider dashboard — the same pipeline that powers the Household Stability Index™.

Consent-first data Explainable AI Audit-ready reports Human-in-the-loop
The workflow

From applicant to housing provider — one auditable path.

Every stage is versioned, timestamped, and stored in the audit trail. The same pipeline runs behind every recommendation, so decisions are reproducible and defensible under internal review.

01
Applicant

A renter begins an application through a housing provider — or through a StabilityLogic-hosted intake. The applicant consents to the data collection and verification steps that follow. No decision is made without their knowledge.

02
Identity Verification

The applicant's identity is confirmed against the documents and attributes they provide. This step establishes who the applicant is before any financial or behavioral signal is evaluated.

03
Financial Verification

Consented open-banking, income documentation, and payment history are verified from first-party sources. These signals confirm income adequacy and payment reliability without relying on credit-only assumptions.

04
Behavioral Intelligence

On-time rent history, tenancy length, recovery patterns after documented hardship, and other housing behaviors are evaluated. Behavior is treated as a stronger signal of the next 12 months of rent than debt history alone.

05
Household Stability Index™

StabilityLogic's flagship engine combines the verified signals into a 0–100 stability score across five weighted categories — Payment, Income, Financial, Support, and Behavioral — with the underlying inputs and weights fully inspectable.

06
Explainable AI Decision Support

Every score is returned with a category breakdown, machine-readable reason codes, a plain-English rationale, and a version-stamped model card. Housing providers see why the recommendation is what it is — not just what it is.

07
Risk Recommendation

A recommendation is issued — Approve · Conditional · Cosigner · Decline — with supporting evidence attached. AI recommends; humans decide. No autonomous adverse action is ever taken by the system.

08
Housing Provider Dashboard

The recommendation lands in an operator dashboard with full audit context, comparison tools, decision workflow, and (where declining) an adverse-action-ready report. The final decision belongs to the housing provider.

The system recommends. Housing providers decide. Every stage — including any override — is captured in the audit log.

What runs beneath it

Explainability, prediction, oversight, and enterprise automation.

Four commitments that shape how the decision infrastructure is built. These are engineering commitments, not regulatory certifications — StabilityLogic does not claim any compliance status that has not been formally achieved.

Explainable AI

Every score exposes its inputs, weights, and reason codes. Model version, weight configuration, and input hash are stamped on every decision — so recommendations are reproducible weeks or years later and defensible under internal review. Explainability is an engineering commitment across the platform.

  • Category breakdown surfaced on every score
  • Machine-readable reason codes shared in-app and on reports
  • Version-stamped model card per decision

Predictive Analytics

Beyond the point-in-time score, StabilityLogic is building forward-looking analytics — delinquency early-warning, renewal propensity, and portfolio-level risk signals. These are designed to help operators plan proactively, not just react to individual applications.

  • Delinquency early-warning at 30 / 60 / 90 days (roadmap)
  • Renewal-propensity signals for lease planning (roadmap)
  • Portfolio-level risk views for leadership (roadmap)

Human Oversight

HSI recommends. Housing providers decide. The system does not take autonomous adverse action, and every decision route — including overrides — is captured in the audit trail. Human authority over the final outcome is preserved by design.

  • No autonomous adverse action
  • Housing provider issues the final decision
  • Overrides and rationale captured in the audit log

Enterprise Workflow Automation

Decision-ready recommendations flow through configurable operator workflows: applicant pipeline, adverse-action delivery, cosigner invites, document handling, and audit-log capture — designed to run alongside existing CRM and property-management stacks rather than replace them.

  • Configurable decision workflow (Approve · Conditional · Cosigner · Decline)
  • Adverse-action-ready reports generated with the decision
  • Interoperable with existing CRM / PMS stacks (conceptual — partnerships in progress)
